Hi all, so I sold my Klipsch RF83 (5 months old)and I am ordering my M80's today. Guess this name will have to be changed.
Can't wait to hear what they sound like powered by the EMO "big dogs". I love HT but I adore listening to music even more perhaps. I think the 80's are going to really shine for this(I hope).

Chris

I believe Amie or Andrea can change your name. I don't have the DMC-1, but my 80's sound great with my mps-1...

Hi Guys and Gals, thanks, i sure hope so. I'm just a bit worried after the problems I have had with the "highs" on the 83's.I have seen a few comments about these being bright but I don't think its like my 83's..I hope.

Very good, Chris; I'm sure that the M80s will give you great enjoyment. Yeah, until you change, I suppose that those who don't want to use your real name can refer to "the member formerly known as KlipschGuy".

Enjoy the music, not the equipment.

After that, you can just change your nickname to a symbol of your choice.

You will be very pleased with the M80s but I will give you some warning. As a music lover, you may have to spend many, many hours experimenting to find the perfect position and toe-in for your M80s. I purchased mine a month ago and have spent 2 hours every night since then in search of acoustic heaven. Two nights ago, I hit on it and I can tell you that I can't stop listening to them. I have always heard audiophiles talking about speakers becoming invisible but I would have never believed it until I heard it myself. Be watching as I will eventually post pictures. Until then, don't be afraid to toe them in aggressively. This is the secret to enjoying great music. And you will also have to give your ears some time to adjust to the new sound after being eKlipsched for so long. Welcome to the way sound was meant to be heard!

Heh... I was testing the audio cable between my two rooms (yes, it's in!) this morning with a CD player in one room and the receiver in the other. I figured I'd use Sgt. Pepper to check the stereo (make sure I'd wired them the right way around). I was standing in between the M80s, and I realized I was not hearing the distinct stereo separation I was used to on that album. Instead, I was immersed in it. Wonderful!

Its something about those Axioms,

In more than one incident, after sitting a guest in the sweet spot, he was convinced the centre channel was on for music (2 channel).

I love my M22s (I suspect the M22s are easier to place than the M80s for a seamless soundstage). Good choice on the 80s, good to see that you have seen the light
