Considering both speaker companies are Canadian, are there differences in tonal quality between these two speaker lines? Is an m50 any different than an image 5t? Are they both bright speakers?

Before I got my M80's i was set on getting the 6T and from my research i think most people find the image speakers rather laid back. Which is almost opposite of the Axioms. at least with the M80's which are forward. Not bright however.

Several years ago, I auditioned some PSBs. They were ok, but not as good as Paradigms. Then I heard some M22s, which made the Paradigms sound OK. The M22s were amazingly good. Therefore, logically, the Axioms are way, way better than the PSBs.

littleb,

Two speaker companies from the same country has absolutely no bearing on how they sound. That's a pretty big generalization.
A friend of mine used to work for Molsons Brewery years ago and they even brewed the same Canadian, Export brands differently across different locations in Canada.
Apparently the Molson Canadian out in British Columbia actually tasted more like Labatt's Blue from Quebec while Canadian in Ontario was more like the taste of Export brewed for the Yukon (or something to that effect).
Of all the reviews i've read to date, no one has stated anything that would indicate they could tell the signature sound of a speaker based solely on its country of origin. I would not be surprised however if someone out there believes they can discern this information.

Chesseroo,
I stand corrected. I didn't know if there are similarities in products manufactured in the same country or not. Down here brick and mortar salesmen would have you believe so.
