I hear you. Calibrate the display and only adjust the sources if absolutely necessary. I agree you want to keep things as simple as you can so it will be less confusing and fewer changes to the image signal should be better for your final picture. Let us know how you like the new Avia DVD.

They are also coming out with versions of this DVD especially for Bluray and Hd-dvd...

I would keep the source settings to their default and modify the settings on the pj. I'm thinking about getting AVIA2 or the new DVE HD/Bluray whenever I jump to that new format (keep dreaming buddy... ) so let us know how this new AVIA does!!

I was just listening to a podcast on avrant.com and they were debating how to pronounce this disc. I've always thought it was ehvia, possibly because I'm Canadian, eh? They settled on ahvia. What do you say?

ditto Ayvia. This way must be the correct way since you can't say Ayvia without saying A V. At least, that's my take on it.
