I wondering if the m22ti would work well with the ASL wav-8 amp--do you think these speakers need more power? (smallish living room, not too loud... except for the occasional party) If so, would the m3ti's be better?

The Antique Sound Labs model should have little trouble driving the Axioms. The product is solid, sounds very good, and match either model. This is a mono block model, which I am sure you are aware.
The company that distributes and makes them is a short drive from my home! Check them out at www.divertech.com They also represent some other very good equipment

I just ordered a pair of 3ti's and will be trying them out with the great little Wav-8. I will let you all know how it sounds after a little break in period. Later
