I am about to place an order for a pair of M22ti's. I only have an old Sony receiver in mediocre condition, and I am looking to upgrade to a quality stereo integrated amplifier (not A/V) to compliment the speakers. I live in a small Manhattan studio, the dimensions of which are 12x15. I listen to rougher varieties of rock and jazz and generally prefer my music on the edgey side. Among the new integrated amps from Rotel, NAD, and Denon, or from any other quality manufacturer, could someone recommend that performs particularly well with the M22ti's? With an apartment of the size of mine, should I go with a 40 watt per channel amp, or with something more powerful? I would like to spend between $300 and $1000 on the amp. I appreciate your help.
Thanks,
Todd Rogers

Todd, i suggest you go searching more for the features and whistles that you are looking for in a receiver.
Out of the names you have provided, Rotel and Denon are excellent performers and apparently have solid track records. NAD seems to have some more mixed reviews but there are some in these forums that use them and love them. The Denon brand produces a variety of receivers in several $$ levels for you to choose from.
Harmon Kardon is also a reputable name although i'm personally running an Onkyo receiver and have had no problems whatsoever.
All of these receivers should sound excellent with the Axiom speakers but only you will know that for sure.

Your budget is intersting, because you can get a good amp for 400 or you could get an even better one for 1000. just depending on if you really wanted to spend the money or not. I have a C370 with my M80's and im very happy with the amp and i think they two make a good combination. You could look at the C350 or the C320BEE and im sure either would work great. or you could go up to the top end of your budget and look at some of the nicer models. There are alot of good amps you can buy used for 1000. Musical fidelity and sim audio are a couple of names that come to mind.

Rotel's RA-1060 falls in the middle of your budget, and as I'm sure you know, Rotel makes some excellent gear.

I concur with spiffnme. They make solid products. They are also known in the past for excellent Pre-amp sections of there products. Neutral and no sonic signature.

I'm a BIG fan of Arcam gear. The DiVA line of amps sound fantastic with Axioms.
