All- Thinking about buying a new receiver to utilize Audyssey MultiEQ function and am wondering if this "could" assist w/2 channel listening or if it is primarily for HT and 5.1 playback? Really trying to tame the highs of my M60's due to being in a very bright room that I've treated all the wife will allow.

Bring on the pictures, I would love to see the room. Maybe we can think of ways to help with the reflections that would please the boss.

Kris, since Audyssey tries to equalize the irregularities caused by room effects for the main speakers as well as the others, sure it may be of some help with just them playing.

Your question seems to imply that you use only the mains when playing CDs and other 2-channel music sources. Using modes such as DPLII to extract the ambience naturally present(to varying degrees)in 2-channel material and send it to the surrounds where it belongs(the majority of sound in the hall reaches the listeners as reflected ambience from a direction other than the front)is preferred by many, including me.

Enjoy the music, not the equipment.

Try hanging silk over the M60's tweeter. It appeared to work for my buddy's Klipsch horns.

I agree. The couch clashes with her shoes.

Is the rug that badly worn, or just dusty as hell?
