I changed my order to a pair of M22's. After reading more reviews, the M22's are the ideal mains for me (mostly movies), and looking into timbre, I experimented at the retailers speaker rooms, it does make a difference. So instead of mixing the M3s with the M2 as a center, I will build out starting with M22 mains. I played with my current surround switching between 2.1, 3.1 and 4.1. It's noticeable when you switch but it doesn't take long to adjust. I can live with 2.1. I even left it in 2.1 for 2 days now and my wife hasn't even noticed!

I did find your post about for the parallel M2s. Now you got me thinking, I dont know if it makes a differce but the M22 has a 3.5Hhz crossover for the tweeter Heres the crossover for the axiom lineup. M2 2.7 M3 2.2 M22 3.5 VP100 2.7 VP150 2.7 M50 2.2 M60 2.0 M80 2.2 QS4 4.3 QS8 2.5 It seems to me that the m2's would work best for the center VP speakers and all others would be better off with a matching center as the mains. but I suppose if we're talking just voices which are in the 90-1100hz range then it rely on the woofer. I might have to get M22's all the way around now! Why is the M22 tweeter crossover so differnt? (and the QS4)

R2K, the M22s plus M2 should be excellent and likely an improvement over your first proposal. As far as the M22 crossover, I wonder if the spec is correct, since in the past it was stated(by Alan for example)to be at 2.7KHz(of course there may have been a change made in the crossover).

Awesome... welcome to the club. I know that my first order (V150's) was tough. I was a little skeptical, I must admit. But when I liberated the V150 from it's box I was sold. It was a beautifull piece of wood art that my wife loved. Not to mention that it improved my HT system by light years. The only problem with my purchase is that it highlights how bad my other speakers actually are... and now I am forced I feel obligated to upgrade.
