I would like to put together a decent Set-up. Right now I have a Sony Reciver STR-DE545, after comming across these Axiom Speakers I have given up on the idea of getting Bose. I have 2 senerios in mind. A pair of M80's for my front,QS8 for surround VP100 Center and EP 500 or 60's, QS4, VP100 and EP500. Having a problem deciding.I want to get a good bang for my buck so to speak. Can anyone help me out??

I wouldn't try M80s on a Sony receiver--it's unlikely to handle a 4 ohm load adequately. Consider the M60s.

I agree with Ken. The 60s would play nicer with your Sony. Can you give us the dimensions of your room (HxWxL), or more accurately, the dimensions of the listening area you wish the speakers to cover (if different from the size of the room)?
The primary difference between the QS4s and QS8s is that the QS8s will play louder thus doing a better job covering a large area (they also extend a little deeper in frequency response, but IMHO, that difference isn't a huge one). The same is true for the VP150 and VP100.
Don't misunderstand. I used QS8s in a QS4-sized room, and loved them. If you want them, and they fit the budget, by all means get them. But, if you're trying to save money, unless your room is a large one, the QS4s would serve very well.

As long as you can get a receiver or amp to support them, yeah. Otherwise, it's going to be a world of hurt.

Ramp the budget up and get rid of the Sony the extra headroom will be noticeable, I did 4 years ago and I will never go back. It also allowed me to by M80s this year By all means go for the M60s you won't be disappointed and then you will have the extra money for VP150 and QS8s. It is so easy spending other people's money for them

The Sony must go. If you love music, M80s all the way provided you have the room of course.
