Well, I can't believe that I am even thinking about speakers that I've never heard of, little lone HEARD before but if they really are as good as the reviews say....how can I not? I'm thinking of the M60's,VP150,QS4's and EP175.
Before reading about the Axiom line, I was looking into the PSB Image series with the 6T towers as my mains. Has anyone out there done an a/b comparison between them and the M60's?
Will a Denon AVR-2803 (90 w/c) drive these? My room is 16 x 20 and I rarely listen at high audible levels (my wife ya know :-(.
btw, I don't do this often...my current gear is a Denon DR-555 (55 w/c stereo) and a pair of KEF C60's. Both 17 years young.
Thanks in advance,
Bob

audiobob, while we too didn't listen to music all that much or loudly with our older system, both the bride and i do now listen to cds more often, and you guessed it louder with the 60s. with the warmer weather, on occasion, it's loud enough to hear while grilling on the deck. the family room is on the other end of the house! you'll find that you may even prefer to shut off the sub at louder volumes; the 60's to a fantastic job.

Simply put: Yes, they are that good =)
The biggest piece of advice you will probably get around here is to skip the axiom sub and purchase an svs or an hsu.
See if there is someone close to you by looking at this thread here.

The specs of the speakers should be required reading for all people asking, "Will my _ receiver with _ wpc drive/work ok/sound good with these?"
Look at the product description page. Is your WPC higher than the minimum and lower than the maximum?
The end.
Sorry for the crabby response, but I've seen this question far too often recently.

I'm with Audiobob. I too am looking to buy a pair of the 60's. I have a 7.1 system with Mission speakers. But that is not my main concern. Mine is music.I'm looking for a wider and taller soundstage then I'm gettin now, along with more detail.I have heard this thru the B&W 805's and 804's. Can the Axiom M60t's give me that? I use a Denon 4802,so I'm not concerned about power. Also, how bout low level listening. My wife lives here too. This is just a piece of gear that at this price, sounds to good to be true. The 60's would be perfect for my room. Jazz and classical are what I listen to mostly, and I have a lot of vinyl that still gets played a lot. How do they sound with vinyl? Help me out.

The M60's have the largest soundstage I've ever heard. I listened to a ton of speakers before making my purchase. Their soundstage and detail cannot be beat.

To my ears, in order to convincingly outdo the M60/M80 with a pair of the B&Ws, you have to go up to the Nautilus 802 or better. Yes, the Axioms are THAT good.

I owned PSB speakers prior to upgrading to my M60, VP150 and QS8 setup. The Axiom speakers are more detailed and throw a wider soundstage. I like the PSB speakers a lot, but I LOVE my Axioms!
I already owned an SVS 20-39PCi, so I didn't consider one Axiom's subs.

We're trying hard to remedy that. I'll offer up Axiom's to EVERYONE who asks about speakers. I've had several home demo's already as well.
Though on the other hand I think it's kinda cool that we're in on such a cool little secret.
