Egg shell white. Definitely a special order, but you gotta ask yourself, WHY? Anyway, paid $500 for the 3 of them.
Haven't had any M22s for a while. It'll be interesting to compare them to the Michaura M55s. Swapped out the Frankencenterspeaker with the egg shell white (WHY?) VP 150. Have to say I am liking what I'm hearing!! 3x5.25" drivers sure do help pressurize the room nicely.
So, Axiocognicenti, what's the difference between the VP 150V1 and V2? M22 V1 and V2?

So, I called Brent at Axiom, and he was kind enough to fill me in. The differences between the VP150 V1 and V2 are largely cosmetic; new grill, new logo, new tweeter ring cover. The M22's cross-over appears to have been tweaked in addition to the cosmetic upgrades.
Interesting.

It seems I've read that the sound differences are minimal between the crossovers. Don't quote me on that, though.

They might be minimal but must be noticeable, otherwise why do it.

Possibly. If so , I just hope it's not lesser quality as well as lower cost.

Or, Ian is just a perfectionist and wants to continuously try to find improvements on products? Dunno.

Ola amigos
I can't imagine that Axiom folk would make any change to one of their flagship products which would degrade quality for the purpose of cutting costs. Axiom has built a reputation over the years of high fidelity at a reasonable price. What distinguishes Axiom products is not the price, but the quality. It's the sound we love.
Now, if they could save a buck and improve sound quality, that would be just fine with all of us.
I hope I can get the M22s set up in my garage system for a first listen this weekend.
That will be M22s through a Velodyne CHT10 subwoofer's cross-over, absolutely mint flagship Kenwood KA9100 2 channel integrated amp (from the golden days of silver faced, over built, solid state amps), Ah! Njoe Tjoeb tube output CDP, Kenwood KT8005 tuner ... wash some cars, regrip some clubs, check the garage fridge for some beer, listen to some music, from some Axiom M22s ... egg shell white, semi gloss M22s. What were those folks thinking?

You know, that sounds like a good idea--having a killer music system in the garage. Kinda like a great incentive to get projects done, and probably come up with new ones, too!

Very good, 2x6; enjoy some great music with those M22s.
With regard to the M22 crossover, mine, which are now six years old, were said to have the crossover at 2.7KHz, the same as the M2 shows presently. More recently the M22 crossover has been shown as being at 3.5KHz.
