I'm building a hometheater/sports room with 7.1 sound, it's a 20x20 room with 8ft ceilings. I have 4 M2 v2 speakers for the surround and Vp150 v2 center speaker comming. I have two BP10 definitive bi poler speakers for the mains I wanted to reuse because they are nice speakers and it helps with the funds.
Is that going to work or is there some cross over issue I have to deal with? If so is that something I can do with the receiver?
Thanks..

Will it work, yes, is it ideal, not really. It has nothing to do with crossover or receiver settings. It has to do with not having matching tweeters/woofers. When the speakers are not timber matched and using the same drivers, picky people will notice the difference. Yes, with the receiver you will adjust the dB levels of each speaker to be at the same SPL from the listening position, but this will not fix the differant characteristics of the different driver brands.
The best scenario is when your left/center/right speakers are brand matched. In most situations, it will sound find and you may not care. Some day maybe you can upgrade to different mains. In the meantime enjoy.
You would be better with Qs4's or Qs8's for surrounds, versus bookshelf speakers also..

Ditto. My understanding would be that the BP10s work nicely with whatever surrounds you choose. QS8s would be awesome in that room.
The center is supposed to be timber matched to your mains but not killing a budget is probably even more important so that you can begin enjoying your room right away. You can always change things up later on, if the need or desire strikes you.
Enjoy!!
With great power comes Awesome irresponsibility.

Thanks for the reply, I'll try the BP10s for now and probably upgrade in the future. As far as surrounds that was also a cost decision as the M2 are quite a bit cheaper but I was hoping having 4 of them for 7.1 vs 5.1 would offset that somewhat so I guess I'll have to try them and see.

You will probably prefer 2xQS8 over 4xM2.

Maybe I'll return them for two QS8, what is the return policy?

You generally pay for return shipping and the difference between the products, but other than that you're good. Jakewash is our resident master of returns, so I suspect he'll be along shortly.

Depends on when you purchased your speakers, Axiom has a 30day policy.

Master of Returns? I'll buy that .....as long as I can return it. Actually, in my experience when returning a product for a more pricier item, you can usually get the manufacturer to cover the return shipping costs. So if you were to exchange 4 m2s for 2 QS8s I would suspect Axiom would cover the return shipping or at least let you ship them back on their account/cost.
