Has anyone added Axiom v2 speakers to an existing v1 setup?
Here's my story...In 2004(ish), I bought some M50 fronts, VP150 center and QS4 surrounds. I recently replaced a RPTV with a wall-mounted plasma, and my wife is (cough, cough) forcing me to replace the M50s with wall-mounted speakers. My plan is to keep my investment in Axiom and mount some M22s as front speakers and add a sub (which I've gone without for all these years). Will these speakers blend well together...both from an M22/VP150 perspective as well as the v1/v2 question. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

I can't foresee any major differences. I don't think you'll have a problem.
You can call Axiom and ask. Maybe someone there has listened to a mixed set-up.

I have v2 M80s with v1 VP100 and v1.5 QS4s. You should be fine.

The M22s and VP150 will blend better than the M50s and VP150.

I would mention that the sound difference might be shocking to you going from the laid back M50 to the ultra precise M22, maybe the M3 might be more to your tastes, not to disuede you from the M22s.
Yes the M22 VP150 work perfectly together, better than the M3s do, IMO. And the M3s are said to sound very similar to the M50s.
So far as v1 to v2 I have mixed and matched my v1 M22/VP100/3 QS8s with the v2 M80s and VP150 with out any problems.

As long as you use the frappé setting, it should remove all chunks and result in a smooth..... Oh.

Have M22s with VP150, they blend well.
