Or an SVS...
But with the STF series on its way (or is it here already?), Hsu may be the better way to go since they have more below $600 options to meet your needs.

A friend of mine is upgrading his VTF-2 and wants to sell it for $350, so this is pretty good timing - I'll check that out!

I'm surprized not many from Hawaii given the free shipping deal. I'll let you know how they work out when I get them on Thursday.

I think its just the lack of audiophiles here. maybe im wrong! I dont think there are alot of people in the same other states either, just a population thing also im sure. I know for me, i knew i wanted the speakers and with my bidget of 1000 bucks it was either get the other speaker i was considering ( PSB 6T ) for cheaper, but have to pay shipping, which equaled the 1k or get the ones i really want and pay all of it for the speaker and none for shipping.
The choice was obvios!

A VTF-2 for $350 is a great deal. Perhaps he'll let you borrow it for a week first, so you can demo it before laying down the cash? (Though I sure you'll love it!)

Woo hoo! The M22's came in today, right on time! Sound is much much improved from what I used to have. Listened to Joni Mitchell DVD, "Shadows and Light", (in stereo). Wow. Now I can hear her guitar! Listened to the seismic charges scene in Star Wars Ep2. Of course I listened to the lobby scene in the Matrix. Going home now to watch the opening battle scene in Gladiator.
I'm very happy. Thanks for all your help and input. Next paycheck, (hopefully), I'll pick up the VTF-2 and get rid of my boomy subwoofers.

with all the acronyms flying around, I can't keep up.
SVS, STF, HSU....what manufacture?
Is the axiom sub's not up to par with some of the above?
Just curious, may influance a decision in the near future!

Well, the Hsu VTF-2 comes highly recommended at least by this forum, and they haven't led me wrong on the M22's. I have also heard a VTF-2 and its very nice. It just so happens that this is the one that the same guy is going to sell me for $350. For me it was a no brainer. Good luck though, I know there are so many choices.
