Avi, JP, and Scott--I just finished sealing up your envelopes. After work I will take them over to the Post Office and send them away.

Hopefully it won't be a repeat of last time: I got into the main office, took a number (77), sat down, and looked up at the sign that said "Now Serving: 34"

Holy crap, that must be either the slowest or most overworked post office ever. I never wait more than two minutes at any of my local ones. I've never heard of such a thing at the USPS - only the DMV. YMMV, AFAIK. LOL. PGHMICOTIA!*

The lady at the counter said two people called in sick. No replacements.

Andrew- that's inspired, man. I'm starting to think we need a system to keep track of who has a sampler out.

If you don't say anything nice, my CD will blow up.

Hey, I'm only on track 2. I'm sure I'll have something nice to say. Just give me time!

Sean, way to go on your mix. It's a great disc. I'm going to have to try full albums by several of the artists. On the first listen, I'm really liking:

"+81" by Deerhoof
"A Cloak of Elvenkind" by Marcy Playground
"Broken Household Appliance National Forest" by Grandaddy
"What To Do" by Ok Go
"Bad Education" by Tilly and the Wall
"Gettysburg" by Ratatat

And a lot of the others I'm sure will grow on me. I didn't dislike any of them. It's obvious you listen to a lot of music, and I appreciated the thoughtful notes on every track. I only included notes on some of the ones on my mix, as I just don't have wide enough knowledge to always have something to say.

As I listen to everyone's mixes more and decide which tracks I like the best, I'll be coming back to ask for recommendations on full albums.

Thanks so much for sharing. Hopefully what I've offered is as much of an ear-opener as what you guys have compiled. Very cool stuff!

I'm really glad you liked it, Charles! Thanks for the kind words, too.

It was extremely difficult to select tracks to put on the disc. I think the first night I did it, I was in a certain mood and all the songs kinda sounded the same. As I tooled with it for a week it got rounded out a bit more. I think one of my main goals was to select lesser known stuff. So, I hope there was lots of new material for you, and everyone else.
