While researching a question about HDMI cables, I happened to run into a reference to this CBC TV "expose" on cable sales practices. It's about nine minutes long and if you have the time has some informative, and also amusing(note the comment of the Best Buy salesman relating to his "inexpensive" $40 cable)content.

I use HDMI port-savers from Monoprice to connect the rather stiff BJC Series-1 cables securely without harming the ports. Just heard about this new HDMI interconnect. Anyone used these yet?

Well, someone at the AVS forums recently bought these locking HDMI cables and had this to say:

"I finally received these "locking" cables. They are very hit and miss. For the most part, I would say they do not "catch" the way they are advertised. The 'Port-Savers" are your best option. Hope this helps."
