Hello! I have an Onkyo SR805 receiver and a VP150. My room is about 14x21ft. What's the concensus? I do plan on getting a HSU sub later, probably the VTF-2 MK3.

m60s for your room size

m80s = more powerful, bigger m60s

Also, the ceiling is vaulted and is about 11'9" at the point. Their is a large opening into a smaller dining room on one side fo the room as well. I would rather get the M60's for the price, but if my room demands the M80s I would get them instead. Thanks!

m60s should still be fine unless you listen to reference levels mostly - but then its not about the music quality \:\)

You have a good size room but I wouldn't think it demands the M80s. The 80s would be a great choice if the budget allows though. I think the M60s would do just fine in a room of the size of yours.

You choice of a sub is a fine one too.

I have heard of issues with the m80's and the onkyo 805 at loud volumes... not saying it would be a problem but it possibly could.

I have the m80's in about a 14x20 foot room connected to a kitchen, but the ceilings are only 8 ft. They sound amazing.

I would suggest going with the 60s and then if you still feel something lacking, send them back for the 80s, that is the way I did it, but as was mentioned, I believe your reciever might have an issue with the 4 ohm M80s at higher volumes.
