I just finished Chapter 2 in World of Goo. I agree with the reviews I read about how imaginative the designers are, and how well-incorporated the ideas are into the gameplay. For $20, I don't think you can go wrong with this game.

Rock Band 2 with with my wife and son. My bands name?.......Axiom, of course, my wife rolled her eyes at that one. I have discovered I can do the bass guitar not too bad, still struggling with the drums and guitar.

Still addicted to RockBand but I also got "Dead Space" for Christmas for the PS3. Here is my two minute review.
I normally get tired of shooters but this keeps me wanting to go back for more. An fairly decent story based on the old human mutation/religious artifact genre. The horror movie style music does a great job at building tension. I sometimes have to tell myself to relax my shoulders.
What makes it different though is the extra strategy involved in the shooting aspect. Just shooting the creatures does little good. You have to use your various laser tools, meelee etc. to dismember their limbs in order to kill them effectively. Cut of their legs to slow them down then work on the arms or head. If they get close, a good stomp can remove a limb if you have em crawling around near your feet.
Some puzzle elements involving devices to slow things down or telekinesis, but you will never be stuck scratching your head for very long. Solutions are maybe a bit too obvious.
Scary, bloody and very gory. A lot of mature content and some swearing. Not for the very young or feint of heart but it is definitely the first shooter I didn't get bored of 1/2 way through.
With great power comes Awesome irresponsibility.

I have been playing Dark Sector on the 360 and Drakes Fortune on the PS3 lately.
I am about 70% done with each game.
Dark sector is pretty good... its like a typical shooter, but then they mutate your character and give him a bionic arm with a sharp blade at the end that can be thrown at the enemies. The blade gets new abilities as the game progresses (fire, ice, electricity, ect.) Overall this game is pretty fun, but I am somewhat ready for it to be over. There is some puzzle/strategy involved at certain places. You must use the powers of your bionic arm blade thingie to get past certain parts of the game and to beat certain bosses.
Drakes fortune on the PS3 is a really great game. it is a typical third person shooter but there is a lot of treasure hunting, small puzzle type sections, and lots of rock/wall climbing. Think tomb raider on steroids. I highly recommend you check out this game if you have a PS3. It may only be worth a rent though (depending on how much you play). I am 72% complete at about 6 hours of game play.
As soon as I beat these two games (both are borrowed from friends) I will return them and get started on Valkyria Chronicles on the PS3. I played the demo, and thought it was pretty fun so went and grabbed it yesterday. It is a battlefield strategy/rpg game with a japan-amination/comic theme to it.

I got Rock Band for Wii but you can't use your GH guitar. That blows.
But Rock Band 2 apparently does this.

I used to play the tabletop miniature version in a league... bought all the stuff to start playing it again, but realize I don't have the spare time to paint miniatures that I used to... have a high elf team about 90% painted and an Orc team in primer... and have for the past 2 years. Bren R.
