Trying to reset, followed instructions on p.58 but nothing is showing up/flashing on the display. Any ideas?

Hello majik.

I don't have that particular model but in my Denon manual you hold down the SPEAKER A and SPEAKER B buttons while pressing the POWER button. Once the display starts flashing, release SPEAKER A and SPEAKER B (assuming it is the same on the 3808)

When you are doing this make sure you press the POWER BUTTON (ON/OFF) and NOT the POWER STANDBY (ON/STANDBY).

Good Luck! \:\)

wow, that is different than resetting my 2805..

it looks like for teh 3808 you turn off the power by using the POWER button, not standby.

They hold in the "Standard" and "DSP Simulation" at the same time you push POWER back on.

Hold them in until the screen flashes in intervals of about a second, then release the two buttons.

Thanks guys, I was holding down the power button while simultaneously holding the dsp and standard button - (exactly like they state in the manual)... I'll try these options when I get in from work.

Majik, did you power the unit off first using the Power button, not standby?
