I have had 12-16 inch Mackerel tow my 19 foot sea kayak around. I know I could out wrestle one but certainly they are strong little guys.

He jumped from the chopter with glasses on, entered the water without them on.
I've caught a couple Striped Marlin. I'm with Rick. No friggin way anyone could wrestle one, let alone actually jump into the water and grab one. They are incredibly powerful and fast.
I used to spear fish. I had a 200 pound grouper pull me around for twenty minutes once. It's difficult to understand how powerful these big fish are till you get up close and personal. I was totally humbled by a dolphin when I did a tourist thing and swam with them in Mexico a few years back. That creature was the most powerful thing I’ve ever been around.

Alright, this crazy fish story is actually true - although it lacks the helicopters or video. The guy is a friend of a friend, and the account was verified in many ways. Here little Fishy

I just read that on one of the fishing forums I go to, evidently those particular fellas are some of the best and very well respected free dive spear fishermen around.
Interesting story.

Speaking of diving, there was a young fellow diving off of Stuart, Fl a couple of months back who had just surfaced and was ran over by large center console boat that ran right through their marked dive area, cut off both of the man's legs. The boat was operated and owned by a well known emergency room physician who, after knowingly ran over the diver high tailed it back to dock where he had his attorney waiting ... never stopped or slowed down to check on the diver. It's just baffling and amazing to me that someone could do that. The diver is a forum member on the following site, he's really an astounding individual. You can read some of his post later in the following thread after the accident ... Rob Murphy.

I hope they locked the physician away for doing that...you'd think of all the people in the world, he should be the one to help this poor guy.
That fellow(Rob) has an incredibly positive attitude which will certainly help him through this tragedy. A few years ago, a similar tragedy happened on Lake Simcoe where a couple of divers were exploring in Cooks Bay, using clearly marked diving flags, and a boat went through the area killing one of them. I've seen a lot of near misses and lack of respect in my few years of boating.

I recall an incident on Lake of Bays when I was around 10 yrs old, where there was a boat near shore, trying to get a waterskier up and going. As he had his head turned watching the skier (he had no spotter) he wasn't watching where he was going which happened to be directly at a floating dock with a couple of young girls on it. People on the shore as well as the girls screaming on the dock alerted the genius where he was headed and thankfully rammed the throttle into reverse as he barely bumped the dock...both of the girls had jumped off of the dock by that time and were shaken but fine. Obviously, this could have ended in catastrophy but didn't, thank God.
Btw, this happened in one of the south bays of Lake of Bays, this is the same chain of lakes that Axiom faces from the north shore.
