I once stopped in a small gas station/general store in a sparse part of Northern Main on our way to hike up Mount Katahdin. The lady inside kept a large jar on the counter to drop your pocket lint into. What's even scarier was that she felt compelled to show me the already full jar from under the counter.
I tried to leave quickly but she just had to also show me how when she pulled a cord, a witch on a broom flew out of a hinged cabinet back above the entrance door and flew down a wire to behind the counter. I vaguely remember her commenting on how bored they get there in the winter as I 'briskly' walked back to the Jeep.
We took our chances on running out of gas on the return trip.

I double checked your link to see if it really ignored "2x6speeds" instead. That would have been funny. Unethical, but funny.

Charles where are you stuck? I either forgot to respond to this or I was embarrassed. I'm not sure exactly where I am. Some house or something in Denerim? I'd have to get back into it to see. There are just quite a few enemies all at once, so I'll have to try to incorporate some of your strategies. I haven't really learned the finer points of combat.

A cheap strategy is to have your party hold position and then use one character to move ahead and draw a few of the enemies back to your party. Works good until you have a few crowd control spells to work with.

I’ve spent much of the weekend playing “Fallout 3.” I’m disliking this game less now that I’m growing more accustomed to it, however I know it’s never coming close to Oblivion for enjoyment or re-playability for me. The biggest improvement is I’ve learned to save often. Twice more I’ve gotten stuck between to objects and been unable to move or fast travel out because I was inside. Some other things that have improved are just learning the interface and locations better so I’m not always spazzing to hit the right button or trying to find things. The local area map’s for interiors suck. Their really poor compared to the interior maps in Oblivion. Figuring out that V.A.T.S. sucks for long range shooting. It might give me say a 13% hit chance for a real long range shot to the head that I can manually get 8 kill shots out of 10 with. V.A.T.S. is way better at close in shooting than me. Funny that mirrors real life where if I can see it I can pretty much hit it with a rifle. OTOH with a pistol I could probably hit somewhere in Arizona from where I’m sitting. Still not liking the overall blandness of the game’s look. I liked the look of the armor in games like Oblivion and Mass Effect, whereas “Fallout 3” just looks boring. Hopefully I find more reasons to enjoy playing but I’m afraid that once I start running out of interesting perks to select the game is just going to bog down and I may lose interest before even finishing the main quest line.
