Well for those who have been following my recent M60 purchase gone bad, I finally hooked them up today and found out that one of my tweeters isn't working - but here's the catch ... when I switch tweeters in the two speakers they both work in the one speaker, but not the other! What the h$%^? I guess this means there is a loose connection or a connection missing in one of the towers. The only problem is, how do you get inside these things to locate wiring issues? I'm prepared to go digging in the speaker box after taking out all the large speakers, guess that's the only way?
Anyone ever seen anything like this before?

I would suggest you call Axiom's tech 800 line first they man the phones late, but yes, most likely they will have you remove some (probably not all) of the drivers/tweeters for troubleshooting. It may be down further in the cabinet, in that case they might have you remove one of the lower drivers. In either case, it is a good idea to call them first, even if it ends up being an easy fix.

I had a bad tweet in my M80's and I called Axiom ... Amie had my do a few things for normal trouble shooting. Once it was verified it was a faulty tweet I had a replacement in 3 days. It is not rock science, no offence on that. But, it is realative basic trouble shooting. If the tweets work in the other speak then that eliminate that. It maybe as quack said or a soldering issue and maybe a faulty x-over. But, really it is nothing to take out the mid or woofer and reach in and check. I am not sure if there is a seperation between the woofers and mids/highs, though. and make sure when you put the spaekers back in not to over tighten the screw. Just snug it is mdf and easy to blow out the srew holes speacially on a 1/4 edge> that is the one issue I have with the spaekers i wish the lips were and extra 1/4 wide and the set screws set back a bit more.

Chris, it wouldn't necessarily be something as simple as a loose wire. If the high frequency section of the crossover in the one speaker had developed a defect, the only practical solution would be a new crossover.

correct, but you should always start with the simple things first.
