Thinking about adding a 32" LCD TV to our bedroom. Probably fine to stick with 720p since viewing distance is approximately 12'.
Any suggestions?

David,
My sister asked for my input on the very same question, although she wanted a smaller TV. At the time, which was a couple months ago, I suggested my sister picked up one of the new Samsung's.
From the research I did on the net, perusing many forms, I came across many people suggesting them based on price/performance.
Now, I've never done a side by side comparison, that's just what I've gathered from online.
Hope that helps.

I have read that the smaller Samsung's are not as good as the larger 40" and up versions. They apparently have some visual artifacts. That being said, I would still suggest getting one as they look pretty good to my eyes and they are cheaper than the supposed better alternatives in Sony/Panasonic.
I have also read that Vizio is a reasonably good LCD for the price paid.
As I mentioned during my quest for a flat panel TV, a person could go crazy searching for the best TV as they all seem to have their detractors.

Yeah, I'm not looking to spend too much time searching for the "perfect" TV. I just want something that is reasonably priced and works well. If I was shopping for a 60"-65" plasma for the living room I'd spend a lot more time searching for things.
Essentially all I need is a nice looking TV to watch a little here and there from bed. My wife will use it a lot more than me (she watches TV back there some times when I'm playing games).

That is why I bought my wife a 40" Samsung LNT4069FX a few years ago. She watches 90% of her TV/movies in the bedroom during the week while I am at work.

I have a 37 inch Samsung LN37B550 and haven't noticed any artifacts. Picture quality is excellent. The only gripe I have with it is the picture quality falls off rapidly when moving away from center viewing, but this may be a problem with all similar LCD's.

David, these were tested in the March issue of Consumer Reports. Two that looked good from a quality/price standpoint were the Insignia NS-L322Q-10A and the Vizio VO320E.

Based on that report, I bought a Insignia NS-L322Q-10A that I put in the kitchen.
It seems pretty good; I have no complaints. Well, the sound isn't all that great, but that's typical with flat panels. The packaging and instructions were great, and I really like the remote.
I plan on buying 3-4 more if they go on sale.

How's the viewing angle on those?

Not bad, actually.
I really hadn't looked at TVs in awhile, and I was surprised that viewing angle and black levels aren't nearly the issue they were just a few years ago.
Of course, none of these are for the HT, so realistically I'm not being terribly critical!
