I don't know if I will do this or not but thought I'd get some ideas and opinions anyway. I've seen it discussed before but can't find it.
I'm waiting for a new center channel speaker for my media room. In the meantime I thought that I would use one or both of the bookshelf speakers out of our game room for the center speaker in my media room.
If I wanted to use them both, what, if any, is the best way to hook them up.
1. Run the center cable from the amp to speaker #1 and then run a jumper from speaker #1 to speaker #2? 2. Run dual cables from the amp to each of the center speakers. 3. Don't have dual speakers. One bookshelf speaker would be plenty for the short term.
Thanks.

Options 1 and 2 are the same electrically (assuming you're hooking black to black and red to red in both cases), so I would go with whichever works better in your room.

Charles, as Ken pointed out, 1. and 2. are electrically equivalent, so the one with the wiring more convenient or neater should be tried.
However, I'd suggest first using one bookshelf(vertically, of course)to see if you like that result.
