Does anyone know of a decent sub in the $1000 and less category that has an upper range freq resp. of 200-300 hz? Here's some possibilities I've found (Before my edit runs out). av123 dual MFW-15av123 MFW-15

I think that's a little high for a sub.

Not for the on-wall M22. It doesn't seem to go low enough to meet the upper range of the EP175, and it's upper range is supposed to be 150 hz. I wish I could get the REW software to work, but so far no luck. That would help me to verify that.

Brian, don't be looking for a 200-300Hz sub; there's some problem either with your on-wall M22s or the EP175 if they don't have more than enough frequency overlap. Yes, what you say "seems" to be should be verified with an SPL meter or even just running a frequency check by ear to determine if there is actually a gap somewhere around 100Hz.

I would avoid AV123, given their current legal difficulties. You could try out SVS or Hsu or eD. Or the EP350, which I rather like.

Not only do they have legal difficulties(CEO allegedly indicted for charity fraud), but they can't even get a reliable amp to power their subs. You'll have nothing but problems.

Michael, no question he was indicted. It was for alleged charity fraud.

Yeah, you got it. We've handled a a whole mess of indictments, but none were "alleged".

Don't you think he needs a few extra sales to help pay the lawyers?
