I do not have a subwoofer and there is something I have been wondering about. In the beginning of the movie Optimus Prime jumps on the back of a Decepticon and brings him down. A few moments later Optimus executes him with his arm/cannon.
Is there low frequency information there. I don't here any. Is there a deep deep pulse there for people with low reaching subs?

Wow, you are missing so much in your movies without a sub. I haven't watched that movie in some time so I can't recal if there is anything real low during that scene, but throughout that entire movie as well as the first one there are lots of scenes that ripple through your bones.

I know. I went to BobKay's house and brought a couple of movies I watch a lot. It was quite an experience. I don't ever think that I will get a sub though. I would however really like some M80's in high gloss orange.

Dude, you need a sub. Period. There's so much going on in that movie that you can feel. Even the 80's won't go low enough to showcase it.

Sweet, I just got married on 9/3 and we haven't even bought rings yet. Imagine if I bought a subwoofer!
My house isn't really suited for a sub. Old and rattles a lot. And I will probably wind of living in an apartment sometime this year. I would hate to get one and then not be able to use it.
A strange thing about subs. I have borrowed one and played movies with the other speakers turned off. The sub doesn't seem to provide a heck of a lot but it sure does make a difference .

I just finished watching that move for the 3rd time in 3 days. There is deep LFE bass in almost every scene.

Point taken Lamp! Didn't mean to offend, thought you didn't have a sub by choice-some people are 2-channel purists. Must prioritize...

I am a 2 channel purist!! But I wasn't offended at all. Sometimes I really want though. I have the same feelings for Jeep Wranglers.

Tell your wife you don't want a ring, you want a subwoofer instead. I am sure she will understand and if not you won't have to worry about what she thinks after the divorce

Lamp,
I was going to answer your original question, but I can't. I realized that every time I watch the movie, everything keeps changing.
