I've owned both, they both sound good, I preferred Axiom for sound but think the Aperions have a better finish. The sound was more important to me, so I gave the Aperions to my brother in law who liked the sound but was even more impressed by their finish. I'm not an audiophile so this was my personal opinion, others may disagree.
You know what you like, right? So don't worry about labels and pedigrees. Your opinion counts just as much, if not more than those who listen with their eyes. Just like wine, some folks only drink what Parker rates as "good". They are, quite frankly, Idiots that will never learn and miss out on a lot of good juice.

I hear you Michael, we all have different opinions on what we like and dislike, and like you what works best for me is what I'll stick with, regardless of other opinions. Speaking of wine, with the holidays and the wife on vacation our reserves are dwindling again.
A computer once beat me at chess, but it was no match for me at kick boxing.
