Kinect works quite well for the other 2 games we have, the Adventures game it is bundled with and Kinect Sports we bought at the same time as Game Party In Motion. Kinect Sports is fun and it does get you moving pretty good. The harder I throw the javelin the farther it goes...sometimes, it also monitors arm angle etc.

My 9-year old thinks Kinect Adventures (the game that came with the Kinect) works pretty well. Although he seems to have just as much fun creating obstreperous avatars as playing the game itself. We also have Dance Central and it is a blast and works well.
I do notice quite a delay between gestures and actions when watching someone else play, but this seems to be mostly accounted for the brain by of the player. At least I hardly notice it while playing.
In a month or two I will no doubt be pressured into getting a new game. We'll see how that goes.

Our Kinect works great, Dance Central is super fun for kids and adults and has been a big hit at parties. Lately I've been getting my butt handed to me playing Demon Souls on the PS3.
A computer once beat me at chess, but it was no match for me at kick boxing.

Demons Souls being played here too. It's still early on, but I'm trying to heed the advice of others and try to proceed slowly and carefully. So far so good. I'm still only in the Boletaran Palace.

Demon's Soul is beating me up. I got to the boss in 1-2 and he killed me, so I had to go back to the beginning. It was hard enough to take out the 4 archers and two blue knights just to get to him (I shot down the red dragon, so at least he is out of the way). I gave up for now and will try again once I get better stuff. I moved onto 2-1 for now.
I planned to go to bed early last night as I'm fighting a cold, and was up until 11:30 playing. I learned my lesson....I'm not even turning on the PS3 tonight. I'm going to get ready for bed and do some reading and turn out the lights early. The demon's will be waiting for me tomorrow I'm sure.

I rented Nier from Gamefly. It's going back after one day. Looks ugly, the camera is horrible, it's an action (button mashing) RPG, and I hate both the main characters.

I think my tactic was to barely enter the room and then run away to draw some of the knights out.
I died a bunch there, too. Well, my tactic, since the frontal assault failure, has been to get sick and avoid the game entirely. I have been pondering how best to get out of that room without the whole hoard following me: maybe sacrifice Alistair with a charge and then switch characters to see if I can draw some of the enemy out.

We picked up an Xbox 360 with Kinect for Christmas. I've wanted an XBox 360 for some time now, but with a wife and 2 daughters, we've been happy with the Wii.
Now I need to build up my library. I've gotten a few used games to get the "library" started, but need to find some that my non-gun shooting family will enjoy. Thinking about Hydro Thunder Hurricane as my wife mentioned always liking H.T. on our old Dreamcast....
