HA! The first single I bought was Chubby Checker!

No! I'm wrong! It was Joey D. and the Starlighters, Live from the Peppermint Lounge, "The Peppermint Twist." I was 7.

Neonates!

My first single was "16 Candles" by The Crests back in 1958. I was 6 years old. That brings back some memories.

Cat do you actually remember that far back?

I'm thinking I was never 6 or 46, I can't seem to remember much past yesterday.

I have some near birth memories. Also, other misc stuff from very young.

Near birth memories include being in a crib and seeing, or thinking I saw, shadows in the blankets moving.

Before I could walk, my dad with my mother in a depression in a nearby creek in the country where we lived. He was dunking me under water and I was crying my eyes out. He thought it was funny. That installed a fear of water in me that has lasted a lifetime.

I remember some toddler toy that was a clear ball you rolled and the inside piece stayed stationary.

In my dreams, I was chased by beavers. (Just kidding on the last one.)

Actually, there is one that is missing. 4-track tape. I picked 8-track tape, but my first album was actually on a 4-track tape. "The James Gang".

I'm pretty sure it was a cassette, but it really depends on how you define it.
