Game was terrible. I don't care for either team so it wasn't even entertaining to watch.
I'm not upset with the winner/losers, just how the game wasn't even a competition for those that don't care about either team.

I have no skin in the game either, though I lived just north of seattle for 30plus yrs and visited a few times and relatives there, so I sorta have a connection kinda maybe. And yah like I said Denver took their bodies there but the mind didn't follow. I am a conspiracy theorist and I think it was thrown, there I said it . :0

Seahawks have a historically good defense. There is much joy here.

Thought of you the entire game, Tom. Very happy for you.

I don't cheer for either team but I was happy to see Seattle win their first Superbowl ever so I was rooting for them.
I have to say though that the return for a touchdown on the very first play of the second half has to go down as one of the most soul killing moments in sports ever. You know Denver just had the big pep talk and might even have convinced themselves there was a glimmer of hope and then boom, in just a few seconds, it's snuffed out.
Grats Seattle though! You played one hell of a game when it counted.
With great power comes Awesome irresponsibility.

The commercials weren't good either. Rather depressing, I thought. We talked about going to a funeral to cheer ourselves up after the game.

No many "emotional" commercials. Who wants emotion during the Super Bowl? then, out comes some glimpse marketing of some "unknown" show, where the blips of commercial get longer and longer until you realize that it is a new season of "24" coming back. OK. The bullets and explosions were fine, but meh....
Then, when you thought all hope was lost, Spidey 2, Capt. America 2 (which I actually liked) and BAM! THE BIG MOTHA ITSELF... Transformers 4... And it looked like crap with cartoon CGI (I know it is early in their post production), and even more running and explosions showing absolutely no plot and so much Michael Bay over-the-topness that it looks miserable. I will still watch it at some point, but come on. Marky Mark and his Funky Bunch can't save that one.

... Denver took their bodies there but the mind didn't follow. Maybe with Colorado's legalization, the team celebrated with a super bowl before the Super Bowl...

Yes, but you can do the same in Washington. As Johnny T (from Glove and Boots) reports on Inside the NFL, isn't is funny that the two states to legalize "the wacky-tabacky" are in the Super Bowl...
