I have this woofer connected to my pioneer with the RCA. This A/V receiver was my friends so I know it used to work with his EP175. His sub entered power saving state.
I have put brand new RCA cable to the sub and receiver, but the sub still will not enter sleep.
Any one ever seen this before? The receiver does not has the remote signal capability through 3.5mm to control the state of the sub.
The RCA I am using is a stinger king cable which is all platinum anti-corrosion, multiple direction braided shielding, and screw tightening outside connector. The old RCA was a gold plated Nakamichi, and also did not work.

Try unplugging the sub from the outlet for a few minutes. Perhaps something glitched in the unit and just needs a reset.
I’m armed and I’m drinking. You don’t want to listen to advice from me, amigo.

Hi blatisi,
If your receiver does not have a trigger output, there is no way to put an EP500v4 into standby mode. None of our subwoofers have any sort of signal sensing to automatically put them into standby mode. The only solution is to use the trigger input.
Thanks,
Andrew

Not sure if these applies either but, when I turn my ep500 off its never shuts off, the green light is still on and sound still comes from my sub, anyone else ever have this issue? Just got it on Friday.

Just got it on Friday. Do you mean that the sub does not turn off when you power off using the power switch, or when you use the trigger to turn the sub off? Thanks, Andrew

Yes exactly when i hit the power off button, it still remains green and sound is still heard coming from the sub. I tried unplugging it for about 30 secoudns to see if it needed a reset or some kind.

You might try leaving it unplugged for 15 minutes or so.

Ran a few lil tests on her which seemed to work. I had to unplug the coaxial cable and then unplug it , than i restarted it with the coaxial cable disengadged shut it off which worked this time. Put the cable back in and all seems to be well.
