Wow. I have finally arrived, for a while at least, at my 2 channel audio destination! It has been a long road which started when I was floored by the amazing sound quality of a pair of Axiom M3Ti's driven by a 5 watt per channel SET tube amp.

I've gone through about a dozen amplifiers, some solid state, some tubed. I've gone through about a dozen speakers, including Axiom M2s, M3s, M22s, M50s, M80s, Dahlquist towers, Walsh OHM5s, Klipsch Fortes, PBN Montana EPS2s, Marten Django Ls, and finally the Wilson Sabrina Xs.

Oh Glory!! I don't know how Wilson achieved the magic of the LIVE SOUND, but they did. With the BAT VK56 monoblocks, VK33 preamp and Marantz SA-10 CD/SACD player, I have the real music. I didn't see anyone bring a piano into my living room, but it sure sounds like the real thing. I haven't even played any vinyl yet, just CDs, and am gobsmacked. If you ever have a chance to listen to these, jump at it. I think they will transform your expectations of music reproduction.

I have Axiom to thank for this long and expensive quest. I feel like I've arrived. Thank you Ian!

2x, is the upper baffle, where the angle starts at the bass woofer, slightly raked back? Or is the baffle essentially vertical?

Around the tweeter there looks to be an obvious mount for small grill? Any decipherable change in tone with or without it? ( if it does in fact have a grill?)

It’s cool to be along for the ride on your audio quest ! My quest is just beginning!!

Congrats again amigo!

Hi Kodiak.

They are time corrected. The baffle slants up and away from the listening position. These are one piece speakers. The big Wilsons have separate upper driver and tweeter modules attached to a frame or the large bass module. In the big ones, the tweeter module is set back and aimed downward toward the listening position.

Yes, they have grills. I packed them away in the boxes they came in.

I've never heard anything like the Wilson's, even these, the smallest towers in their lineup have that incredible impact and immediacy of the big ones. These use the same tweeter as their giant XVXs, the same driver and their proprietary cabinet material. They are, IMO, better than the Yvettes, the next in line, and although these don't go as low as the Sasha DAWs, I think they are comparable.

Good luck on your enjoyable quest!!!

Hey 2x6,

My journey has also begun bc of the Millenia Ti line.

Should be amazing to see where this goes. I’ve got all kinds of plans to kit out my house it’s various systems of different make up and ability. Will be fun for sure.

The Ti line got me hooked and all I hear how much better things get, whereas I was already pretty impressed. ( at least in our old townhouse. )

But as I learn more and my ears gets more experience as I learn to listen more critically I’m inspired to see what’s next on the journey. It’s great to a have hobby that is so easy to enjoy on many levels and brings so much satisfaction.

Happy listening!
