I've listened to my actives long enough now to know that I'm satisfied ... I have no need to look further.
I can find something more expensive but I'm out of my league to find something better. My ears are just not good enough.

I should state that the prepro is a 8805 with a ADA1500-5 per speaker ...

8805 -> DSP -> ADA1500-5 -> LFR1100

Most music either is from a Apple TV 4k (streaming from apple music or my server) or from a DP-UB820 ultra blu-ray player (for CDs).
So, the above statement really should be attributed to the system as a whole. I.E. Actives with clean power (and sources).

What a great mindset to have. Contentment is so rare in a consumerist society that promises happiness in our next purchase. It helps that you chose well.

Two channel reproduction is something I enjoy. I found out long ago that very few people (that I hang around with) care about it. So, I only need to satisfy myself. I’m still looking to improve the sound, just don’t think it involves buying better equipment. The next big step up for me is in taming the room …
