Hi folks - I haven't posted for a while here, but certainly have been lurking - reading and enjoying the camaraderie of this great forum.

Hi Ray - thanks for the compliment! Yeah, the MX-700 is one of the most understated yet incredibly capable remotes out there. Just doesn't have the sexy touchscreen that so many folks seem to gravitate to. It sure simplified our setup though. I could never go back...

You live in Auburn? You lucky dog. So close to Tahoe... Got any jobs up there for me?

My girlfriends' parents live just outside of Auburn- off the 49 in Pilot Hill (near Cool). Her parents actually work in Auburn. I go up there all the time. Unfortunately, she is moving to New York City this summer to work for the Mayor there indefinitely. When I finish school in a year, I plan to find her out there. But with her gone, I will not likely go visit her parents anymore

You kind of had me going on that subwoofer/stove thing until you got to the pilot light part.

I figured the stove subwoofer would get a chuckle from some folks, especially here... I would be willing to bet you that someone may have actually done this if they could get the acoustics right. Why waste the space? lol
