mdrew (Mike Drew), our friend up in Alaska, who just bought 2 M80s, asked me to post a few of his pics. He's still in the process of learning how to post pics, and is just real busy at the moment. There are 7 of them, so my apologies to those of you on dial up. They're gonna take awhile to load, but I trust you'll find they're worth the wait.

Get this! Mike built the place himself over a 3 year period. I told him it was a good thing he's in Alasks, cuz if he were someplace warm I'd be moving in next week.

Holy crap! I'll move in even if it is in Alaska. I just ruined a perfectly good keyboard (ew sticky mess) drooling into it looking at those pictures.
Congrats mdrew!

Geez, louise!!! what a castle.

i have been reading mdrews posts and it looks almost exactly how i had pictured it in my mind. i figured the wood might be a darker grain, but i just love the open timber framing look. great mix of modern and rustic decorating.

i bet stepping thru that front door every day, and looking up into the expansive ceiling with loft is just awesome. there is just something about being dwarfed by a great structure that makes me feel like a kid..

really nice house!! i hope those 80's satisfy for years to come.

You know you're an audio geek when...

You look at that first picture and think to yourself "that couch is too close to the right speaker."

Gorgeous house, though!

Yeah but it probably doesn't matter because mdrew probably parks himself on the couch opposite the fireplace taking it all in. Sweet setup.

I'm actually headed to Alaska next summer with my family to do a little salmon fishing at a friend's place. It's going to be a long year waiting for that trip. Alaska is one of those places I've always dreamed about visiting.

I believe that is an actual log cabin home, bigjohn.
I've seen some shows about the construction of log cabin homes - they're beautiful things. Very nice mdrew. I gotta get out of this desert.

First, the new Axiom subs cause me to ruin my new boxers. Now, I've ruined my pants looking at this castle in Alaska!

These things tend to happen in threes, and I don't have any more clothing to spare, so maybe I shouldn't read any more posts today.
