My new Mansfield Beech Axioms arrived Friday:
2 M60ti's, EP350 Sub, VP150 Cent., 2 Qs8's(2 more on the way)powered by my new Denon AVR2805, I can't imagine a better combination.

First of all I want to THANK Axiom, especially Amie, Joe, and Brent, for all of your time and expert advice. In addition, all of you on this forum that have provided valuable feedback, diserve a pat on the back! I would offer you a beer if you were here.

The Mansfield Beech w/Black grills is absolutely beautiful and you can tell these speakers are manufactured to the highest quality. I ordered mine from the factory outlet, and have looked over these inch by inch and can't find any cosmetic flaws. They look so rich and expensive.

Who says grown men can't cry? I tell you what, there have been a few moments where my eyes got a little glassy, while listening to various music artists on these gems. I am in total AMAZEMENT as to the accuracy, sound, detail, reproduction, quality, etc..... of these speakers. I grew up around music as my dad was a professional singer, and I have been involved in piano, trumpet, and singing most of my life. When I close my eyes, there are times you would swear you are right there in the recording studio with the artists. These speakers ARE that good. This is probably the best find I have ever come across, second to my wife! Ok, she was standing right next to me, so I had to say that...

I also want to put in a good word for the Denon 2805, I went round and round on what receiver to get, and I am sure I would have been happy with any of my choices. I think this combination is a match made in Heaven. I just can't get the smile off of my face everytime I listen to something differant. My wife is a big Josh Groban fan, I could not believe how unbelievable the sound was coming out of these speakers, it was like he was right there in the room giving us a private concert...

I auditioned a lot of speakers; Axioms, NHT, B&W, Klipsch, and Polk, in combination with Denon, Yamaha, and Elite. I am One Hundred Percent convinced that I made the right choices.

Anyone debating or hesitant on ordering these speakers, will not be let down. When you combine quality that is second to none, the best customer service in the business, and support from Axiom owners on this message board, there should be no doubt in your mind on what brand of speakers to order....AXIOM

ps I guess I was not at a loss for words....

Peace Out

Randy

Randy,

I'm so glad you're happy with your purchase. Quite frankly, that's what it's all about -- being happy with what you're hearing. Most of us here don't really care what brand anyone ends up with, as long as they end up satisfied. Being of service to you in the process of making your decision is very gratifying.

We've all been in your shoes, and experienced that first elation at just how good these speakers are. We hope you enjoy many years of good music and great movies.

I dunno, Jack, if you read between the lines there it sounds like he's really saying, "I should have got the Bose system!".
Just kidding, have fun with them sirquack.
BTW, the EP350 is OK?

Yep Bigwill, the EP350 is working out wonderful! I've been playing around with the crossover settings, small/large main settings, sub volume, etc... So far I usually leave the mains on Small and set the crossover on the receiver to 80 hz. I have the sub volume at about 1/2 way. Last night I was watching Finding Nemo with my 5yr old son. He likes to walk up close to the screen all of the time. We were watching the scene where Dory and Marlin are in the whales mouth pondering what to do next. When the whale said "Its time to let goooooooo" and all the water was being sucked down his throat in preparation to shoot Dory and Nemo out his spout, the sub rocked the whole room and my son freaked out and ran back to the couch next to me. Boy when this thing wakes up you know it....

Once I get my basement HT room done, I will move all the stuff down there. The room is much bigger with 9' ceilings, so things may change some, who knows, maybe a second EP350 will be in order...

Randy, not meaning to be flip, but if you have not done so, get your sons eyes checked. I used to get up real close to the screen when I was his age (Yes we had a TV when I was 5. Black and white, 3 channels, and a 17 inch screen ). Turned out to be a symptom of bad eyesight, and I should've had glasses when I was two. I still wear glasses to this day.

Thanks, yep my wife and I always remind him not to be so close to the screen. My mom and dad used to get on me about that also. He normally sits back a good distance, but during certain movies like Star Wars, he likes to grab his light saber and get into the action. My wife had him checked last year and so far A OK.... Thanks for the advice AJAX

PS: I had to start wearing glasses around age 30, I think this was to do with how much I work around computer screens. Anyway, I got Lasik over a year ago, that was one of the best things I have ever done, second to getting the Axioms....

As long as you've had his eyes checked, then all is well. I'm glad.

Been tempted to see if lasik would work for me, but I've worn glasses so long, they're almost a part of my personality now. I'd probably miss them.
