I AM GOING TO ORDER THE EPIC 80 HOME THEATER SYSTEM. RIGHT NOW I HAVE A KLIPSCH KSW -12
SUBWOOFER WICH HAS 440 WATTS OPPOSED TO THE EP350 200 WATT SUB.. WOULD ANYBODY GIVE ME ADVICE AS TO KEEP MY KLIPSCH AND NOT ORDER THE EP350 SUB.

Your Klipsch is actually rated for 105W. The 440W is "dynamic power"... a marketing term for the most possible power deliverable to the driver downhill, with a tail wind, in a vacuum, etc, etc.

It's like computer speakers being rated either RMS (root mean square) or PMPO (potential maximum power output)... my 8W RMS old-school Altec computer satellites handle a lot more power than the Juster 200W PMPO ones available for $5-$10 at Future Shop.

It's apples and oranges, people like hearing big numbers.

Very few people here would go with Klipsch over Axiom - for a new purchase - but as a long-time Klipsch fan, who has recently become an Axiom fan I'll weigh in with my 2 cents...

I haven't heard it, but there is no doubt in my mind that Axiom makes a good sub. I have heard the Klipsch sub and it is also good. Which is better - who knows? Which sounds better with the Axiom system - probably the Axiom sub - but I can't say for sure. Most people here would buy SVS or HSU. I like my Velodyne. If it were me, I would probably skip the Axiom sub and try it with the Klipsch because I am lazy and cheap. For the good of the board, many of us would probably like you to buy the Axiom and compare it to the Klipsch and report back - but that takes a chance on having to ship a sub back (or use the lesser of the two for a secondary system) if it is not any better than the one you have.

I'll give my 2 cents advice:
If you have a fairly big size room (say >= 20 ft x 15 ft x 20 ft cathedral ceiling)consider an SVS sub. I found it the hard way that the EP250 (200 watt) is not sufficient. I returned the EP350 and bought an SV25-31PCPLUS (525 watt sub) which is comparable to the soon to be released EP500 or EP600. Please read all my posts under my name "rdm" (use the search button). I have been very happy ever since with my system (SV sub and Axiom speakers).
