Good Morn all! I've been tyrying to build an economic system (6-7k) that will feed me the listening emotion I have missed for the last 5 years. I also need to incorporate the visual aspect (ht) which will mostly be 5.1 concert dvd's. I used to own Parasound and Paradigm Studio 60's. I have been in every direction umpteen times in hopes of some kind of resonance resolution. From Odyssey to Gallo,Gr to Green Mountain,Paradigm to Morel. The only thing that I have figured out is my small 14'x 13' room will get the Axiom Grand Epic package. Decision made strictly on the biased opions of dedicated fans like yourselves. ALL of you can't be wrong! So thank-you. Now if you all can tell me if the 22ti system is amp critical. I enjoy the warm feel of music but played at very high volume.Nad Anthem Parasound kinda thing. Multi channel amp with Processor would be ideal.($1500 area) I listen to everything from AC/DC to Zappa(my fav)Short story way too long but can you also suggest kick cd player($600 area). Rotel has a great one ...I believe. Thanks again!

If you're set on separates. Try looking at Outlaw http://www.outlawaudio.com/home.html
They sound very clean and are a good value. They are less expensive because they don't have all of the hype associated with their name brand.

You will be more then happy going only with a reciever. There is no need for Sep.

If you feel that you need more out of the system go with the Outlaw monoblocks. This way you can always upgrade if you really feel you need to.

Have you ever experienced separates?

Hey thanks for bringing to my attention that I worded my multi channel amp with processor request wrong . In acuallity, I was looking at a Rotel 7 channel amp (even though I'm not ready for 7) that has a built in processor. I guess it is the new age integration amp. It has a selection that by-passes the processor completly therefore giving you straight stereo. It also has multi speaker stereo and EVERYTHING else. That kinda thing would be ideal. If it comes with a radio , whatever, I am forced to listen to the radio in my work truck and can't imaging listening to a stupid vehicle sales pitch at home. Thanks again

So, you're looking at a Rotel RSX-1067, then. That's one badass piece of hardware!

I agree! That is sweet. 100 watts per ch x 7 or all channels driven. That would be perfect for the M22's and the size of the room it will be in.

No, never had separates. I am sure there are some advantages in sound but for a college kid that has a M22 set up in a dorm I think that serarates would be overkill.

I don't. I didn't catch were Torchum said that he was in a DORM room.... Where did you see that Lomb7???
Torchum came here throwing out some big name brands and appears to know what he wants. Your comment was like going to a Lexus dealer knowing what you want and then having the salesman showing you the used Toyota Corolla.

Those were some pretty heavy hitters Torchum was talking about.

Badass for sure! Badass as well on the wallet.($1900) Which makes me want to go with my original plan and get some older but serious power for a great deal( I guess THX isn't a real factor)and match it to a high tech, albeit Japanese, receiver of the Yamaha etc.sort. If I use the receiver just as a processor, I can still get some smooth sound. I remember hooking up my 1000 bucker Denon receiver (very good unit 4 years ago)to my Parasound 1200 and Paradigm Stud 60's. Sounded good but something was definitely missing...like the proper connection route. I was running just the Denon. Hooked it up right and WOW what a difference. That is why I am uncertain with the lower end receiver power. I used to have a Nakamichi 1. I liked that sound.Odd enough eh! What would the choice of the street be. Have a great Sunday!Raining in Phoenix.

Some heavy, yes. Some not so heavy. It may seem odd that i will be going with the Axiom set up but I just have to try it. I am a conscious consumer and and am very aware of diminishing returns. Can Axiom compare to aples or is it an orange, when I figure out my supply issues I am going to find out. I feel real good about the decision though and again thanks to aficionado's such as your selves.
