You are correct. Almost any kind of plug will not work well with the T bracket. But, with the hole in the binding post, using bare wire works just fine.

The consensus of opinion is that there is no sonic advantage to using plugs, banana or otherwise. In fact, plugs just add one more link in the chain where a bad connection could occur. They are advantageous if you are regularly plugging and unplugging your speakers, but with wall mounted QS series speaker, how often are you going to be doing that? I'd have no qualms about using just bare wire.

Having said all that, I use banana plugs for all my speaker connections at the receiver, and to my M60s and VP150, and recommend doing so. Those speakers DO get moved on occasion. And, if I ever have to rearrange things on my rack, which I've done more than once, banana plugs sure make it a whole heck of a lot easier to move the receiver.

Eliminating the banana plugs at the QS4 end does sound like the right answer. I just took another look at the 360 view of the QS4 and there isn't really any room back there for bananas.

Thank for your help Ajax & Bridgman. What your saying makes sense and saves me money. Ill just use them for the fronts and center. Ill only buy the FMB's for the two fronts. Thanks again.

I just had my main and center cables terminated with bananna plugs yesterday. However, I forgot to bring the surround cables. I did want to terminate them with bananna plugs but only on the receiver end.

Bare wire is perfectly acceptable and you won't decrease performance by going that route. Might not be the most convenient option, but once you find the ideal placement they aren't going to be moved again (until you move or something).
