My buddy said to wire all my axioms with 10 gauge wire and looking at these posts I have to wonder now. I purchased the 10 gauge zip cord wire and would like to know if its going to be ok? Will run similar lengths of 15 feet to the two fronts (M80's) and center channel (VP150) and 50 foot lengths to the two QS8 rear surrounds.

10 gauge is certainly heavy duty. It will keep the line loss to virtually nothing, especially for the long run to the QS8s. Should work very well.

Find a good quality connector, either a banana plug, or a spade lug and crimp or solder the wires into the connector
My second system contains older Axioms, with the dreaded "Spring Loaded Posts"....one of Ian's minor concessions to price points. I found connectors that fit, and they work fine.
