I need to move my home theater to a new room (long story). The new room is completely different from the current room. It is 20'w x 17'd. The sofa will be along one 20ft wall and the TV will be along the other 20 ft wall. Since the room will be a multi-purpose kids play room/media room, I can't risk keeping my M22ti front speakers on stands (guaranteed to get knocked over). Also, there really isn't much room along the TV wall except for the TV (door to immediate right, piano and storage to the immediate left of entertainment center).

I was thinking of mounting the front L/R speakers above the TV, about 75" high and angled down to the listening position. L/R will be about 2' higher than the center chanel on top of the TV.

Any thoughts on how this is going to affect the sound of my system? Or should I use this as rationale to replace the M22's with a pair of M60's and hope they can stand up to regular bumping by rambunctious teens?

Thanks for any advice.

Greg.
