Got this receiver to start. I would consider getting an amplifier if I needed to beef it up.
Thinking about getting the m60 speakrers, qs8 surrounds and vp150 center to start. Then getting the sub later when I have more dough (only looking for 5.1).
The room is a living room that is about 20ft wide and about 15ft deep. The couch is flush against the wall so the surrounds would have to be wall mounted.
I live in a townhouse and have neighbors on each side.
Thanks for any advise.

Sounds like a good choice... if you're sitting right against the back wall then bookshelves would have a tough time really filling the room -- but 20x15 is a great size for M60s.
Running with just M60s is going to be a lot more neighbor-friendly than adding a big sub
M60ti, VP180, QS8, M2ti, EP500, PC-Plus 20-39 M5HP, M40ti, Sierra-1 LFR1100 active, ADA1500-4 and -8
