About goddamn time isnt it? I got myself an H/K AVR 225; used; for 480$ CND. Just wondering if anyone here has one and if they've noticed any shortcomings I should be on the lookout for while I used it - 1 glitch I notice so far is that when you set the display to be half dim - when you shut it off then power it up again, its bright again...cant be perfect I suppose

Freesey, if it makes you feel better, my hk230 does the same thing. Doesn't bother me though. So... what REALLY OLD receiver did you previously own?

My brand new 630 does that as well, even if I go into "Advanced" and set it to half dim. I think it's a feature

lol thats a hell of a 'feature'
My old receiver was a Sony HCD-541 just TRY to find some data on it I dare you It really blew ass - it had dolby pro logic 1 on it - that was about as surround soundish as it got
Have any of you guys noticed that the subwoofer level is really high at the default of 0 db on any of the surround modes? I had to crank it down to -7 cause I felt like I was going to be sick

Wow, only 145 hits. I get more hits than that when I spell the search word wrong
Most of the hits were like this :
"Narrowing it down to the best sony surround sound model no hcd 541 sites can be difficult so we worked endlessly to find every information source we could and then to point you to the best sony surround sound model no hcd 541 sites. Sifting through the junk to find the best sony surround sound model no hcd 541 facts can be frustrating at times because there is so much that is mediocre. Surfing to quality can be difficult. In fact, as the Internet grows it becomes harder and harder to accurately source the right material. The in-depth research we did has let us be able to point you to the best sites to visit. Coming up with excellent sites is more difficult than it first appears. Which is why we created this website. I'm thrilled to say that the countless hours of work we did studying info databases to pick the best places for you to go to has been a success. "
