extracting audio from a dualdisc to make a copy

does anyone know how to do this?
the info and software i've been finding online is usless and doesn't work.
i want to rip the audio from the dualdisc, then burn a copy in dd 5.1 onto a burnable dvd.

Not sure if getting the DVD-A stream is possible. You should be able to the DD 5.1, as it's the same (or should be) as any audio track on a DVD-V. But I haven't tried.
Can you get the audio off of the CD side of DualDisc?

i can't burn a copy of it. it won't do it.
i have been able to rip to windows media lossless but it takes about 1.5 hours per song!!!!

So you're trying to copy the DVD side? What software are you using?

with the ROM drives on my PC, I found that one of them has no problem with the CD side of the dualdisc, and the other drive will not play the CD side at all.
With the one that could read the CD side, I made a copy of the disc, and the copy plays in all my drives (PC and HT) with no problems.
