I don't know if this is of any interest to anyone, but a buddy of mine just came across someone on the newsgroups, in some Beatles forum, that has put some files of some Beatles albums out there in DTS Surround.
He was able to download and burn Rubber Soul (or Revolver, I can't remember) and the White Album, as well as All Things Must Pass.
I'll have them all next week, so I'll report back and let you know how they sound, but he said they were pretty good.

The Beatles catalogue is ripe for remastering in either SACD or DVD Audio. Although, DTS sounds interesting, I think I would prefer two channel. Don't get me wrong, the DTS may be incredible, but to my ears it just doesn't sound right on some recordings. It really depends on the mastering job.
I know Capitol recently released a box set of the Beatles early stuff, but those songs were originally remastered in the States and differ from the British mixes. It's good or bad depending on which sound you grew up with (or heard first, for the youger generation).

Definately interested in hearing about how to get me hands on those recordings. You maybe also interested in the entire library of Doors DVD-Audio remasters coming out in 2006. I can't wait to listen to "Waiting for the Sun" in 5.1

Etree.org has an incredible amount of jam band material in DTS including The Grateful Dead, Pearl Jam, Dave Matthews etc.Yes the mixes can be ubneven and they won't play in your car, but when you crank those cd's over your Axioms the surround effect is absolutely amazing and a lot cheaper than buying DVD-A discs! That doors set sounds great. I saw them in Madison Square Garden in NY when I was 16. They put on a tremendous show....Hey Seabear Please post or PM me on how to get those Beatles DTS! Thanks

I hope this never occurs. The Beatles should be enjoyed in 2-channel and I'm biased, but it should be heard on vinyl.
