Tom and Mike - Thanks for that link, that will keep her busy and off the streets for a while ...
I think the NAD will be the winner over the H-K. Their stuff has real push buttons for the kids, and looks like the easiest to use, while still sounding great for Dad.
I got confirmation regarding pricing for a system all in gloss black, even with the EP-600, the Gloss finish for a whole system is still $1000.
The order is placed, and now the wait begins. Of course, it is summer, getting the stuff in late August would be about perfect, just in time to get them dialed in before the September GTG in Dwight.

Craig, don't let Brucer's current designs limit your imagination. All ya gotta do is tell him exactly what you want, and he can do it for you. You may have to mortgage Ethan to pay for it, but he can do it.

For those interested, Brucer is a very nice guy, very knowledgeable guy, who makes custom furniture. He hangs out over at av123. If you're interested you can peruse these two threads to see some of his designs.

And here is the stand he has designed for the "Bigfoot" center channel. IMHO, it is the prettiest center channel stand I've ever seen.

Jack - Surprisingly, Susan was not too thrilled with the look of Brucer's stuff - not because it is not beautiful, but because it will, in her words, dominate the room.
I must have really bumped my head last winter when I told her to feel free to decorate to her heart's content ...

That link is pretty cool. Has anybody bought from them before? I am constantly looking for DVD storage. What do most folks here use? My collection is getting close to the 700 mark, and I am planning on hitting the 1000 mark before I am finished. Any input would be much appreciated.

Thanks for the links, Jack. That is astounding craftsmanship. I'm so glad I don't need anything like that at the moment

I make my own. Woodwoking is a hobby of mine. Just look for solid wood, not plywood. it'll last a lifetime.
Here's a sight with some racks that apear to be well made.

I'm not the "Link Fixer of the Day"
Cut and paste is fine with me, I was just rising to the bait before.
Thanks for sharing that, Mike.

Wow, I'd get Rockets just to go w/ those stands.
I agree, that is hands down the best looking CC stand I've ever seen.

LOL, that's exactly what I was thinking whenever I first saw them. Very nice.
