FYI Flac is lossless, equal in sound quality to the actual CD or a WAV file. Does that still classify it as compressed? I know that the file size is a little smaller than a wav so I guess it does get compressed some?

mdrew sent me a variety of music, about 5 discs, all sibilant and in pink jewel cases no less!

FLAC is a lossleess compression. I used it for my music server.

Seeing as how I was a bit bored this evening, I've been staring at my CD collection trying to compile a list of artists I like that may not be well-known. Now that I've got the artists, it's gonna be a process of whittling down which song to present.

I like discovering new music and think this would be a great opportunity to do so.

There's still interest here. We need someone to decide exactly how it's going to be done, and I'll be glad to share.

I think last time this was done someone made a disc and whoever wanted a copy sent a pm. If you have a disc to send in return, bonus. If not, no biggie.
