Well, I decided to order it, but Sears won't let you order something if it's temporarily out of stock. So they take your e-mail address and will send a notice when it's back in stock. In the meantime however the "price is subject to change". Aaargh.

I think I'll still keep my eye out for a good price on it from somewhere else. I'm also planning on getting the 3808 from 6ave., though I haven't received final approval on that yet from the CFO.

Best Buy - Preview of Black Friday Ad

I'm pretty underwhelmed with what they say they'll be running in Austin. Maybe they're saving the really big secrets for that day, but there's nothing in this ad I'd stand in line for.

Does anyone know if there is a site that lets you search for a specific item...either for Black Friday or Cyber Monday? I'm going to wait till Monday to place my order for the 3808 and, though I can't imagine I'll find a better price than the 6Ave / AVS deal, I want to see just in case...

Even if you found a better deal (unlikely), chances are that after you add tax you wouldn't beat the 6ave price(6ave does not charge tax). Of course you should mention that when you file your state tax return though.... Still, it doesn't hurt to look though.

Mark - www.bfads.com is one site that lists a lot of the deals and allows you to search.

Amazon has an amazing deal on the Band of Brother's Blu-Ray set. $55 for a 6-disc set is pretty tough to beat.
