One thing I had to do was move my sub away from under my center. It was so close to the center that it caused the sound waves to bounce off the top of it, causing the sibilance to go through the roof. I have it just to the right of the center right now and couldn't sound better.

I waited for my sub twice, about 4 weeks each time. Long wait.

I'm re-watching 2012 with the new sub. There is NO comparison with the EP175.

If you listened to us in the first place... </grannyvoice>

Glad you are enjoying it. It may not reach super low, but it really is a good sub.

Sorry to be the everlasting pessimist, but so far the only negative I can find, other than a bigger footprint, is I'm having to adjust the sub's volume level differently for every CD/DVD/BD. I never noticed this as much with the EP175. Too bad AVR's don't have a memory feature to adjust it's sub pre-out per source material.

Hmmmm either I'm doing something wrong or you are. I never adjust the volume on my subs. The bass is what it is for whatever I'm listening to as far as I'm concerned.

Sounds like you need to adjust LFE levels in your AVR to match music/movie. It is not normal to have to adjust the sub's volume and it has nothing to do with the sub.

I'm guessing the sub is set too high. Have you calibrated?

Generally, a good sub setting is one that your barely aware of...
