If you're eluding to "The Highwayman", that is actually a poem written over a hundred years ago and was put to music by Loreena as are a few of her other songs...and no, she doesn't "usually" sing about horrible deaths, she and her fellow musicians play music that reflects Celtic and Middle Eastern Culture which she is very well versed in considering how much time she spent studying both. She and her musicians are extremely talented.
