not sure why people are recomending the 980? It doesn't have a dedicated scaling chip does it? the 981 will have the best upscaled picture to 1080p if you want it.

The only thing that the 980 does better is matrix 7.1 audio...bob, I would look at the 981 and compare to the 980 to make your final decision, the 981 will have better upscaling for sure.
